: New team member: say hello to Igor Hardy!

Without further ado:

Please welcome Igor Hardy, also known as Ascovel from the AGS Forums! Igor's going to reinforce the animations department and also help us to tighten up the cinematics.

Thanks for joining, Igor! I'm really looking forward to some of your frames :)

We're also having a little introduction thread so you can get us to know a little better:

Hi, everyone! And thanks for the kind welcome, Dirk.

I'll leave writing something more about myself after I have the first animations to show, but I believe I already talked with each one of you at least once, so I hope I'm not a complete stranger.

New team member: say hello to Igor Hardy!
hello to Igor Hardy!

And hey Ascovel, tell me I had my share in making you come here. Boost my ego.

Btw. finally an excuse to visit Warsaw or Poland in general.
By train its 122 eur and a ten hours ride - nothing impossible :)

Hey there, Igor, welcome on board of the good ship Shattenreyze! So we are obviously collecting talent like an avalanche here...Just by looking at the list of people involved I would download this game without even knowing what it is about.

Hi Igor!

@Kastchey

You did have your part in making me come here. I mean, I recently gave a proper look the list of people involved in Shattenreyze and all of them turned out to be people I'm interested to see future projects of. And this was certainly one of the main incentives to ask to join the team.

There were many other reasons as well (like liking SR's graphics and wanting to do animation), but I don't want to list them all here and make you think "Woah, this guy is really picky when it comes to getting involved in something!" :)

@abstauber

I'll gladly show you around Warsaw if you come visiting.

Great! Let's keep this in mind! If everything works well, we could also start a team meeting in Warsaw ;D

But for that, we have to wait until Sebastian returns from Madrid and find out where Andy comes from.

I'm from Papua New Guinea.
But seriously, you never asked :)

And that reminds me I totally forgot to answer what you asked in the Nimbus thread: the dreadful exam I took in December was a language certificate in advanced Japanese and I have a strong feeling I failed. But whatever, the Japanese would always expect me to understand English only just because I have blond hair, so who cares about my language proficiency. Duh.

And that in turn reminds me to tell you guys that I'll be moving to Japan in about two months, and that probably means I'm not gonna be online for the first month or so of my stay. I just know that the little bastards will do anything to prevent me from having Internet access at home. Duh again.

Damn, I was so sure I did. I hope you don't feel like you're getting interrogated :P

Anyway - great news. A friend of mine (or better the ex-girlfriend of a friend, so I don't have any contact anymore) once stayed in Japan for a year - in a city called Fukui, if I remember correctly. And she liked it a lot... hmm... maybe she even went back :)
As far as I know, the internet infrastructure is one of the fastest and best in the world, so getting online shouldn't take you too long. But of course this may depend on the region.
Good luck however (just in case I forget to write this in two months) :)

To contribute nothing of any information value to this dire case of cultural misconception: It is even worse to have dark hair. No matter where I was travelling so far, (except Scandinavia maybe), everybody suspected me as a member of their culture. Czech, Polish, Spanish, Italians, French, Algerians, Moroccans, Egyptians, Americans...and even those bold Austrians had the nerve to talk to me in their native language!

On another note: Papua New Guinea, exciting! I love how international our team has gotten. Even if we are doing all the story discussion bits in German right now, I'll translate the next milestone properly for everybody to read and critique.
